Look What My Honey Made...

Isn't it wonderful???

It's a Cheater Quilt. The background is all hand painted, and the Crow has a button jointed wing. The Sunflower is a separate piece that he painted, quilted and attached to the Painting. I just love it!

You know, I wish we could take better photos! It seems like even though they're okay, like in focus, etc... they could be so much better. What are your photo taking secrets??? I know that many of you have just wonderful photos in your listings, web pages, and blogs. I'd love it if you would share your tips w/ me.

Hello to all! What R U up to today?

Oh.. by the way... THIS IS NOT where you should comment for the giveaway. It's down there below.

I'm working on a kind of oddity for me. It's going to be a pumpkin head doll riding a turtle... I THINK! Sometimes these things evolve strangely and change my plans mid course.



Have you ever seen a turtle out of its shell? I think he is afraid that he'll be going in the soup kettle.


I haven't done any sculpting in quite some time, so this was fun. I don't think it's exactly what I had envisioned, but it'll do.





Still have a LONG way to go, but the journey is pleasant.

A New Sweetie & Another Hint...

Good day everyone! Was sketching some ideas and/ or plans for dolls and I thought, "Why don't I share this on my blog?". I know I love to see other artist's plans... so here we go.

A New Sweetie...

I was thinking about Fall, the harvest time, pumpkins... and this little cutie popped into my head. Now all I have to do is make her...LOL.



Here is the additional hint to what I hinted originally about a few posts back. Okay, this is kind of silly isn't it?

I want to make an Art Doll.. an honest to goodness beauty. I have made a few in the past, but they take a lot of concentration and time to complete, time that I don't have a lot of. Well, at least I got some planning sketching done.



I was trying to decide what KIND of doll, what CHARACTER, etc. The thought of Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice) came to mind. She is so graceful and feminine. I can just picture her in a ball gown.... can't you?



ANYONE HAVE ANY SPARE TIME LYING AROUND that I could borrow????

It's a rainy day here in Kansas. God sends this rain for all His good purposes, so who am I to question why?! I'm feeling a bit soggy but Praise Him anyway!!!

This is Laura May and her little Teddy. She speaks of our God as our fortress!!!




This sweetie is Linda Dee. She's one of my Iddie Biddie Dolls, so she's only about 8" tall. She tells us that 'It is Well, It is Well, With my Soul'.



Now this little pair of Cats are named Tracie Cat & Lottie Iddie Biddie Kittie. Can't you just hear them singing in their little Kittie voices, 'What a friend we have in Jesus...'.
