This one is purring... well, duh! Happy cats always purr, right???

Finally... this one is a little Christian Kittie... she's sporting scripture. I really love this one's dress.

Thanks for looking y'all.

God Bless!

A Budding Violinist!

That's my youngest grandaughter at her very 1st Strings Concert. She's 10 yrs old and in 4th grade. Doesn't she look serious? We enjoyed the concert. I was amazed that such a small school had such a large string section and orchestra. I hope she continues to pursue the violin. I have always loved the sound of violins. So romantic.

I have been soooo sick with a nasty stomach virus. Three days now. I think it's trying to 'exit the building' but is fighting as it goes... AAAaaaaaccccckkkkk!!! I finally got some work done and have several grunged dollies drying under the fan that will be photographed & listed on eBay for Sunday. I praise God for my sales continuing to go well.

Here's a little Raggedy I made. I really enjoy making the Raggedy style dolls, but usually I don't grunge them. I kind of like the look of the grunging though. Actually, she is double grunged, so she looks so old and stained. I used some hand crocheted cotton lace my daughter made, and a tiny cross stitch of a crow w/ berries in his beak that she made as well. I love incorporating her items. She's so talented with the counted cross stitch. I've never had the patience for it.

Well, must go. God Bless you all. Have a fantastic weekend.

Black Swan

Hello everyone and Happy Monday. Martin Luther King Jr's day. The grandgirls were out of school today and of course driving me and their Poppie NUTS! Bless their hearts, they're going back to school tomorrow. (Can you see me doing the happy dance?)
Randy's newest creation is so beautiful... a Black Swan & Gnome. I didn't even know that there really were black swans, but lo and behold... I found them online. He's already working on another white one, which I'm sure will be gorgeous.

Here's a few of my babies... you can see all of them if you click the eBay link over there on the left.

This is Suzanna & Mother Goose. The fabric I made her dress out of is just amazing. It's a Mother Goose, Nursery Rhymes print.... so sweet.

Bree Bunny has a really grubby dress & an apron made of Red Ticking with little white heart buttons. I love her little Bunny teeth!

This is Avery & Reese TTIB Kittie (TTIB = Teenie Tiny Iddie Biddie). Those tiny kitties always get attention.

We're supposed to have more snow tonight, which does NOT thrill me. Thank God for our garage!
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and tomorrow.

Blessings,
Penny

A Whole Day of work...

More Dollies! Yep, I've been busy, and I was actually able to stay home and work most of the day. I loved it. I've been 'Soccer Grammy' for the last couple of weeks, but today I got a break. Most of the time I'm able to produce at least 10 dolls a week. Not this time. What I did finish and manage to get listed though were lots of fun.

Anybody love Dachshunds?

I'm on a big Polka Dot Frenzy!

How about Swans?

Elsa is bigger than most of my dollies have been... and her Swan is one that Randy made. His design, stitching and my painting and finishing. She is so beautiful.

Gotta run for now. It's so late and I need to sleep. Please pray for my sweet Husband tomorrow? He's having a test, minor but still a test. I'll be gone most of the day. Thanks ahead of time for your prayers.

Blessings,
Penny

Valentines Goodies!!!

I know it's still January, but I just love making Valentine's Day things. I've already sold bunches of Valentine's dollies. This one's a Valentine Clown. I thought I would kind of 'copy' the style of the Vintage Valentine image w/ the little clowns. I think they're so sweet and folksy.

I'm really not sure about the colors I used for her though. Sage and Cream are so popular, but they might not 'say' Valentines to buyers. So far she's listed on eBay but no watchers. Hmmmm....

Now this little gal went for some pretty big bucks (compared to what my dollies usually go for). I was thrilled. I guess maybe calling it "Chocolate" polka dots made people think of Valentine's Chocolate??? I don't know, but I loved it.

I really enjoyed making this sweetie. I love swans! Randy's Swan & Gnome (from my last post) was a big hit! We already have people writing asking for more. He's working on another set, but this swan is black. It's beautiful.

It's a BLUSTERY dayt here today. The wind is just HOWLING outside. The temps are supposed to plummet down to below zero overnight. ICK! Well, enough for today. Hope you all have a beautiful day.

Oh... sending out a special PRAISE THE LORD for my sweet friend Cora! God Bless you!

Pond Crossing

Can you believe it???? Randy's done it again. He made the cutest Christmas-y creations and now he's made this...

He named it "Pond Crossing". Can't you just see that little Swan gliding across the water and that Gnome hitching a ride? I just love it. The biggest problem Randy has is dealing with me, our daughters, and our granddaughters wanting to keep everything he makes. Bless his heart!

Much love,
Penny

My Youngest Granddaughter

Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I wanted to share with you all a fun new song my 9 year old granddaughter wrote. She had been asking me what kinds of things do other people usually do on New Year's Eve. We talked about drinking, and partying, and being stupid in general. She took some of those elements we discussed and sat down and wrote this song.

It's an adaptation of the 'Twelve Days Of Christmas' song... you know the one. "On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...". Her New Years Song goes to the same tune.

"Twelve Days of New Years"
