My Grandmother

Hi everyone! What a wonderful Tuesday, although it has rained all day. It was 70 degrees here yesterday late afternoon. By this morning it was in the 30s and now it's sleeting! Ridiculous weather, but still. I can appreciate the rain. The Lord God knows when to send it.

I wanted to share a bit about my family. I am the great grandaughter of German Immigrants. My Maternal Grandmother was born in 1890 in Lawrence, Kansas. That is a photo of her taken around 1910, when she was maybe 20 yrs old. She was one of the first licensed women drivers in Kansas City! Can you believe that car? We are so blessed to live in the time we do. With all it's stresses and problems, it's still better than having to wash clothes on a washboard with lye soap, or NO INDOOR PLUMBING. That would be a nightmare.

My banner at the top of the blog is also a photo of my Grandmother. She was younger there. It's hard to imagine her ever being that young. I think she was lovely.
