A Budding Violinist!

That's my youngest grandaughter at her very 1st Strings Concert. She's 10 yrs old and in 4th grade. Doesn't she look serious? We enjoyed the concert. I was amazed that such a small school had such a large string section and orchestra. I hope she continues to pursue the violin. I have always loved the sound of violins. So romantic.

I have been soooo sick with a nasty stomach virus. Three days now. I think it's trying to 'exit the building' but is fighting as it goes... AAAaaaaaccccckkkkk!!! I finally got some work done and have several grunged dollies drying under the fan that will be photographed & listed on eBay for Sunday. I praise God for my sales continuing to go well.

Here's a little Raggedy I made. I really enjoy making the Raggedy style dolls, but usually I don't grunge them. I kind of like the look of the grunging though. Actually, she is double grunged, so she looks so old and stained. I used some hand crocheted cotton lace my daughter made, and a tiny cross stitch of a crow w/ berries in his beak that she made as well. I love incorporating her items. She's so talented with the counted cross stitch. I've never had the patience for it.

Well, must go. God Bless you all. Have a fantastic weekend.

Penny

Hi, Penny!
Nice to meet you & thanks for visiting my blog. I am going to add you to my bloglist as I enjoy yours so much. Love your doll! Anyway, the bananas, I just throw them in the freezer with their peels on. I don't put them in a bag either. I just put them in the door section so I don't forget them. They keep at least a month, maybe longer. I have forgotten a couple here and there and they lose their insides somehow. Maybe there's a little man in there that eats them, LOL. Have a wonderful evening.

I love them both, your granddaughter and the dollie =D My son plays cello, he's 11, and their school (Catholic/Private) has a large string section also, smart kids I guess !!
